| | Friday, April 20, 2001 - 06:47 pm We have began searching for our house. I always thought that when you sold your house you selected "A" realtor to list your home. We found a home that we are really interested in and I called the realtor who had it listed in their database, they of course can't show this until late next week. I then went and contacted several realtors and gave our criteria etc, they ALL sent me the same listing?? I always thought you listed your home through a certain agency. Am I behind the times or what?? Of course I am going with the realtor who can show me this ASAP. But then I wonder why these people have this home listed with virtually every realtor in town?? Just curious is this standard in the real estate business?? Thanks

| | Saturday, April 21, 2001 - 05:35 am Ann, There not listed with every realtor. The realtor that has the listing subscribes to a MLS, Multiple Listing service. The info on the home goes into that service. Any realtor that has access to this service, most do. Can pull up that listing. Any realtor has access to show it. Find one realtor that you want to work with. Let them keep you informed of the house you are looking for, they will be with you on all showings and would negotiate for you the offer. If your realtor is not the listing agent he/she then shares the commission with the listing agent if you want to buy the home. Hope that helps. Becky
