I took Bob's "Legal Aspects of Real Estate" at the College of San Mateo in the early 90's. I learned sooo much, and it only cost me $15 plus the book to attend this class. One of the all-time best, and I took many courses.

You may have seen Bob's nationally syndicated newspaper consumer Q & A. While in California, I subscribed to his LEGAL newsletter for many years, that's were the really good stuff was.

Bob Bruss KNOWS what he's talking about. While an attorney and real estate broker, he has been actively buying and selling distress properties in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Bob worked only on his own account, maybe somewhere at Calpost is the story about his first fixer apartment building and his ONE dollar 30? year lease option.

I'm going to be doing some reading at http://www.calpost.com/

An open letter to Calpost.com:

You seemed to have a GREAT site! It took me a while to find it, I was very pleased to see Bob's articles.

I was also very interested in your discussion board, as I'm now in AZ and this was my first lead to some real info. I wondered why there are so few postings, and decided to register to be able to get E-mailed responses.

After I submitted the registration, I got to a page that stated I had an urgent message waiting. So I clicked.

"You have won a $150 shopping spree."

Are you thrilled because you tricked me into that click, because you just made 3 cents?

Not only was that an ad, instead of the expected "urgent" message from you, but it's a SCAM!!!!

I once spent about an hour to check it out. My neighbor had "WON" this "PRICE" while playing free slot machines on the net.

Not only are you offending me with those scummy ads, but one window after another opened, containing more ads. Absolutely disgusting: I CLOSED that damned ad, and another ad window opened up.

Gee, you got me again! Hope you're happy, *I* won't be back!

You might ask Bob sometime for his legal opinion. I believe you infringed on MY property rights. YOU opened windows on MY computer without MY permission. You stole my time and my resources. You made me WORK to close your idiotic ads. Where is my PAY?

This is not what I expected when I saw Bob Bruss's name. I know Bob as someone of highest integrity. While he certainly was investing for profit, I didn't think he would deceive people or take unfair advantage or use their property without permission or MAKE them WORK WITHOUT PAY!

So I was just going to recommend your discussion board to my readers, and now I'm more frustrated.

I sure am not going to read or post at your site.

http://www.foreclosure.org/Library/Bruss/default.htm

This is a direct link to Bob's articles. While operated by the same outfit as calpost.com (foreclosure.org is another fake .org) the ads in Bob's section are less offensive and intrusive.

Well, they were tonight, they might just change that now ...
