Michael Bardelli (Bull22) | Thursday, November 16, 2000 - 04:18 pm Hey all, Just a quick question regarding regulations that govern condominium associations. I have just become aware that the condo association is raising our condo fees again. This is the second year in a row that they have been raised with no apparent justifiable reason for the increase. I received a copy of the proposed budget for next year(I am a unit owner) and something just doesn't add up. 6000$ a month for water??? Rediculous. My question is this: Does anybody know if there is a legal body that one can complain to or request an investigation from for condo association practices. Any advice will be great. I am in the communistwealth(commonwealth) of Virginia. (We are not even good enough to be called a state). Mike |

Get involved. In the CCR they have to right to raise the fees by a vote of the board. I wouldn't complain to anybody outside unless you can prove missmanagement. Call and talk to the board members, you or your peers voted them in. As homeowners also, i doubt they liek the fact that they have to raise the fees to cover the expenses. Good luck. |
