| | Thursday, December 28, 2000 - 03:00 pm From the FTC on-line Complaint Form. "While the FTC does not resolve individual consumer problems, your complaint helps us investigate fraud, and can lead to law enforcement action." Be sure you write your complaint offline or copy your complaint prior to sending it because I don't think you'll get a copy of your complaint when using the FTC form. Also, note that you do NOT have to fill out all the fields, but you obviously want to include your full name and a way for the FTC to contact you. It's been a LOOOONG time since I got a response to my FTC complaints. They USED to be quite good, actually contacting the companies I complained about and resolving the problems. So why waste your time? There's always a chance that the FTC will eventually take action against a company.

| | Monday, June 04, 2001 - 02:08 pm FTC fax # 202-326-2012 Since they never do anything anyway, I rather pay the 10 cents for the fax and save myself the 15+ minutes it takes to fill out the electronic complaint form. Besides, that FTC on-line complaint form doesn't even send you a copy of your complaint. Instead of PROMOTING good business practices such as ALWAYS providing the customer with a copy, the FTC is showing biz how to GET the customer's info without giving ANYTHING back to the customer. When I have a problem with any company: I SHARE my complaint letter to the company at planetfeedback.com. A COPY of that letter is pasted into an e-mail and then faxed to the FTC, it takes less than a minute. Also, if it has to do with credit reporting, I have planetfeedback.com send copies to legislators. That works great! C: faxed to the FTC
