As I recently took the liberty to inquire about the tax status and income of cardratings.org (another fake .org), I thought it's appropriate that I also publish MY income.

So here goes, directly from my social security statement, since I got into real estate in 1987:

1987: 13,580 my last year working temp accounting jobs in San Francisco
1988: 1,427
1989: 0
1990: 0
1991: 0
1992: 1,100
1993: 1,030
1994: 0
1995: 0
1996: 7,057
1997: 14,002
1998: 6,007
1999: 0
2000 to May: 0

These figures aren't from my tax returns, but they are very close to my gross taxable income. I don't have a "portfolio," can't stand the market. I have never had any interest in any corporations, except that I ran a Cal non profit in 94/95.

I started bayhouse.com in 95 for Transamerica and offered free consultations for homeowners in foreclosure. Not only did the non profit have no profit, it never had ANY income. I learned a lot.

If you're wondering how I ate, I got some gift money from my dad, did some very creative real estate deals, deferred some tax, was audited, NO changes were made, and I now live off the tax free profits from the sale of my home in 98.

I really do feel that I should get paid for putting so many hours into the web site. Once I even registered for an ad deal with a credit report site.

But then I thought about it and I asked myself how *I* could have an ad for credit reports on my site WITHOUT the warning that ordering the report will most likely lower the credit score.

Additionally, I HATE those god damned blinking banners. I find those banners so annoying and offensive, there are some pretty good sites I don't go to anymore because of the ads.

One time somebody offered to send me $100 a month to support the site. But then I figure $100 isn't worth always having to wonder if my postings are still appropriate. I just like doing my own thing, without any obligations to anyone.

Obviously, I can't continue to spend 100 to 300 hours a month on the web site and/or forum forever. Even though I had many 60+ hour weeks this year, I have barely done a thing on the web site. It needs updating throughout and half the pages are STILL down.

Since anonymous posting has been disabled in the forum, I made time to obtain an update from Fair Isaac and I started the "Banking" section. And, I FINALLY filed another complaint, with the Ohio AG (in the banking section.)

I've been looking around the net and found that this is by FAR the best resource for consumer credit questions.

I wished I had the time to go through the 3,300+ postings since Oct. 99 to organize some more and especially to follow up on incorrect advice. My guess is we're at about 80% good advice, but I'd like to see 100%.

Unfortunately, I'm still dealing with that fraud and moron "Robert" and I'm fighting the commercial sites like creditnet.com and mindspring.com all the way. It's extremely time consuming, but as you all know, I don't quit!

Nearly forgot the Amazon.com link. I'm supposed to get 5% (I think) of the sales. I added the link because I've been buying books through Amazon for years and years now and they have YET to screw up.

I am absolutely thrilled that there is ONE company that has their act together. I also admire the pioneer spirit of the founder, heard one of his fascinating speeches once. And like me, year after year, they showed losses.

I have yet to get an Amazon check, because the minimum is $25 and even I sometimes forget to order through the link. They recently sent me a cup with Albert Einstein's quote:

"If at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it."

And the Ghandi quote:

"LIVE as if you were to die tomorrow. LEARN as if you were to live forever."
