| | Saturday, January 20, 2001 - 09:56 pm I can't recall ever seeing an account reported as secured. Of course many of the reports I saw were for mortgage applicants, and they don't usually have secured credit cards. This is important for your credit rating, although I don't know the impact on FICO credit scoring. It certainly is not desirable for any manual credit review. With all the discussion on how accounts are reported, I thought we would have heard about it by now. So far I got 2 issuers: BofA and Providian Can anyone confirm this? Please also post any other cards that are reported as secured. Does anyone have a clue what it does to FICO credit scoring to be reported as "secured?" And, if you know how any secured card reports, please post that info in a new topic here. Which bureaus and how do they report? Credit limit included?
