Friday, February 16, 2001 - 11:21 am I checked out this link last night (after Greg from creditscoring.com pointed it out to me): https://www.myfico.com/ I think they took the site down for now but from what I remember it was selling your score from equifax (partnered w/ Fair Isaac) and I think some kind of credit profile. It didn't work but the price was, if I remember correctly (I might be slightly off as I was really tired when I saw it) $17.95 Very expensive if you ask me. I wonder if the scores will be cheaper without a profile. At that price checking your score from all the CRAs would be over $50.

Friday, February 16, 2001 - 12:50 pm Wow, that's steep! I was sure that this was going to be a TREMENDOUS money maker for the CRAs and Fair Isaac, but didn't think it would be THAT high. Just checked the site, and all that's there is the Fair Isaac logo and "This web site is currently Under Construction. Please check back at a later time. Thank you."

Saturday, February 17, 2001 - 02:35 pm I've been thinking about this. If Erik is not WAY off with his numbers, there seems to be a TREMENDOUS profit opportunity. In 1997 I paid $17 for the tri-merged reports WITH the 3 credit scores. I had EXTREMELY low volume and bought from resellers. Since Fair Isaac is a monopoly, I'm sure they are very picky about who they deal with, and I'd say it's safe to say that it won't be me. It probably doesn't even require dealing with Fair Isaac, but setting up with the big 3. Of course they don't like me any better. WHY do all the resellers offer only ONE CRA's report? WHY do the trimerged reports cause inquiries? It would be too cool if somebody here would set up a web site and sell COMPLETE, ACCURATE and well designed credit reports, with credit scores as they become available. I don't think it's possible unless you are a well funded major corporation, but you never know until you tried. Any takers?

Saturday, February 17, 2001 - 03:10 pm How many people did eloan get in their precious little time in operation? Multiply that by 50 bucks and stick it in Fair Isaacs bank account! The only overhead would be the hydro running their computers and paying their IT department!

Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 05:13 pm Now MyFico.com says: "March 2001 Coming to this site later this month: The first credit score service to provide you with your FICO score, plus the personalized information you need to understand and improve your credit health. Saturday, March 03, 2001 - 06:48 pm Was curious and looked them up. It is a Fair Isaac site: Record created on 27-Jun-2000 They've been working on this for a while.

Saturday, March 17, 2001 - 09:20 am From: http://www.latimes.com/business/20010317/t000023226.html " Starting Monday, consumers can get a glimpse of the three-digit number that often determines whether they can get a car loan, a home mortgage or even a job. A Web site launched by credit bureau Equifax and credit scorer Fair, Isaac & Co. will charge consumers $12.95 to view their once-secret credit scores, which increasingly determine whether people get credit and how much it costs. Links to the credit score site can be found at both companies' Web sites (http://www.equifax.com and http://www.myfico.com) and at http://www.scorepower.com. Fair, Isaac says its scores are used in 90% of all the credit extended to U.S. consumers. Credit scores also are used by employers, landlords and insurers to evaluate applicants. ..." Not as expensive as I reported but still not exactly cheap...

Saturday, March 17, 2001 - 11:55 am Scorepower.com redirects to Equifax, and it will be the old Beacon score, not the NextGen Pinnacle.

Saturday, March 17, 2001 - 01:22 pm GOODBYE Qspace, I hope this atleast puts this company who sells outdated reports OUT OF BUSINESS!!

Sunday, March 18, 2001 - 11:37 pm I hope so, Ann. Well, I've been trying to see how that ordering process works, and for the last hour or so I found that the site is down. Myfico.com is just a front for Equifax. Once I click on the order button it takes me over to Equifax and there I get an empty page, every time. Who broke Equifax?

Monday, March 19, 2001 - 05:24 am Not according to their site FAQ

Monday, March 19, 2001 - 06:22 pm Christine: I had that exact same problem. It took me several hours of intermittently refreshing the page before I was able to do it. I figured they were either down of overloaded with requests.
