| | Monday, March 19, 2001 - 05:34 am For those who followed this long thread: http://www.bayhouse.com/discus/messages/4/874.html?983382143 ... I did the MyFICO.com scoring last night. It didn't actually work for me until this AM. I got a Beacon score of 764. Reason codes: 14 - Length of time accounts have been established 10 - Proportion of balances to credit limits is too high 1 - Amount owed is too high 28 - Number of established accounts My comments: 14 - I have had most of my accounts for 6-8 years 10 - According to Equifax I have $694 on an AMEX bill... my other cards have $0.00 balances 1 - Only owe $694 28 - I have 5 accounts They had a paragraph that states "The fact that you have received such a high score implies that you scored the maximum (or very near the maximum) possible points for many of the aspects that are evaluated by the FICO score. As such, you should not consider the factors discussed later in this analysis to be any serious flaw with your credit history". All things considered, I'm pretty happy, even if I had to pay $12.95 to get to see a magic number that says I'm a good person.
