It was thought to be that you could only request your report and score every 30 days, however several people have gooten their scores again in less than 2 weeks. The trick is to log in then go back to consumers page and hit the 12.95 button, this takes you to the screen where you can order your report and score again. Just thought I pass this along.

Also we haven't gone line by line yet, but another poster had an UNPAID collection on report score was 650, 2 weeks later the collection is marked PAID and score is 671.

Christine this makes me wonder about hubby's report and account status??

According to Fair Isaac PAYING a collection will NOT increase the Beacon (Classic) scores. You can pay the collection and find out whether Fair Isaac lied.

Scores can change 24 points by doing NOTHING within ONE day. I wouldn't consider a 21 point change after two weeks evidence of anything.

$12.95 for scores is steep, but it's great to know that we CAN get those scores.

I'm not surprised to find out that those people I talked to at Equifax don't know what they're doing.

Well it just has us wondering, 2 of her scoring factors changed with 2 weeks. The first codes were:
38:Serious delinquency, and public record or collection filed
14:Length of time accounts have been established
8:Too many inquiries last 12 months
2:Level of delinquency on account

Two weeks later balances remained the same, collection paid and student loan balance went down 40.00
Now the codes
40:Derogatory public record or collection filed
14:Length of time accounts have been established
8:Too many inquiries last 12 months
20:Length of time since derogatory public record or collection is too short

I find it odd that the first reason code went from 38 to 40 and the fourth reason code went from 2 to 20. These seemed to be associated with the collection acount??

That IS very weird. I'm beginning to wonder if Fair Isaac wasn't WRONG. Am I glad I still got the e-mails.

I'll send this to Fair Isaac.

You can't get your new score in less than 30 days. I used Ann's technique to buy a new score, but all I got was a message sending me back to members log in, or to Equifax in case I forgot my password.

Several people have gotten their scores within a 2 weeks time period. You must log on first then hit the back button to get back to consumers page, you then hit order for 12.95 and you can get new report and new score. I am sorry you couldn't get your score. But most people had no trouble getting another score using that technique.

Hi,
I have also been trying to get a second score power FICO score with no results. I have tried every way into the site I can think of but still not dice. I can get several screens in, but when I get to the end, it says, "our records indicate you are already a member. Please to to our member page."

So, could you give detailed instructions on exactly how you did it? Maybe I missed something.

I also just spent 45 minutes on hold with Equifax about this issue. They told me I could not get another score for 30 days.

Thanks for your help!!

Could this have something to do with deleting cookies?

Cricket, I know of several people that did receive another score within 2 weeks of their first score, Equifax also told them it couldn't be done but they did it. From what I am told, you LOG IN then click back to the consumer page, you then click on the yellow box for 12.95, this "should" take you to a screen that asks for for your credit card number, the amount shown on the screen is 12.95 (score&report) and then you should be able to get it. I got to the order screen after logging in but didn't order since nothing has majorly changed. Good Luck. I hope you can get through , most people were able by doing it this way.

Momof3,

Thanks so much!! you were exactly correct. I had tried everyway but that exact one. It must be a bug in the software that allows you to do it, but hey, I don't mind. Anyway, it really does work, and here is how, Manny64.

1. Login as if you were going to view your old report/score.

2. Hit the "back" button 2 times--1st time brings you back to the login screen, 2nd time is back to the Order products page.

3. Hit the "score power" yellow button. This bypasses all the new customer info, and takes you directly to the how to pay screen.

Let us know if it worked for you Manny64...

Thanks again MO3.
