Well as most are aware Citibank does not report limits to Experian. I had fixed this problem a few months back rather easily. I sent copies of my statements and highlighted the limits and presto they appeard. Very recently I combined 2 accounts and got an increase on my other existing Citibank account. I made copies of my statements and sent them off. I called to check on my updated limits and was told that they had sent out a verification for Citibank to respond to. I told they rep point blank Citibank WILL NOT verify and explained the unfairness of this towards my score and also mentioned I was getting ready to apply for mortgage and needed this corrected ASAP and I didn't have time to wait for Citi reply and then send my statments again. I thought it was hopeless:(. But he then said I will tell you what, fax me your statements and I would update them immediately, he gave me the fax number and his name and promised he would take care of it. I ran down to my local quick copy and faxed my statements, went home and checked my online report about an hour later and there it was just as he promised. I had a terrible day prior to this fighting with Equifax and my local yocal credit agency for TU, and thought this would be three stikes for me for sure. I was very happy most reps don't seem to care, but he promised to do it and he came through, his name was Matt by the way:)

I've also posted about some very pleasant phone dispute experiences. It doesn't matter which bureau, just depends on who you talk to and how they feel that moment.

Calling back repeatedly can work too, just try different people.

I find that talking to a supervisor often helps, and I know how tired people are of my constant faxaway promos, but it works.

If you don't have months or years to get your credit reports corrected, use your speaker phone and scanner/fax.

The sad fact of most bureaucratic organizations is that you can call and get one answer and call back, speak to someone else, and get a new answer.

A little persistance goes a long way.
