Demendez (Demendez) | Monday, April 23, 2001 - 11:55 am Christine, thanks for so much valuable information on this forum. I just want to add the following: On March 20, when I ordered my Beacon score I got a 668 with the following reason codes: 38, 18, 13, 2. I had a bankruptcy on 10/95 and some of the discharged debts were still being listed as charge-offs or collections. Called Equifax and asked them to show those accounts as included in bankruptcy, which they did. Now, a month later, with all accounts being reported correctly on my equifax report, I order a new score and guess what I got? a 635 with the same above reason codes in a slightly different order: 38, 13, 18, 2. No other changes and my score dropped 33 points instead of increasing. |
Christine Baker (Admin) | Friday, April 27, 2001 - 02:50 pm 38: Serious delinquency, public record or collection filed. 13: Time since delinquency too recent or unknown 18: Number of accounts with delinquency 2: Level of delinquency on accounts It IS possibly to get lower scores after having derogatory data removed because you're scored by a different model. However, it sounds unlikely, the factors indicate that there ARE recent delinquencies or missing dates. I can't say without looking at the reports - feel free to fax both reports to me at 206-202-4653 so I can see what's going on. This interests me. A 10/95 bankruptcy should not produce these score factors except for 38. |

Christine Baker (Admin) | Friday, May 04, 2001 - 12:42 pm I got the report and wrote to Demendez that I want to see BOTH reports so I can see what changes. Also, I requested permission to discuss some of the items on the report here, but haven't heard back. So, all I can say is that I think a different model is now used to score, resulting in the decline of the score. If that's correct, Demendez would have the documentation to prove beyond ANY doubt that FICO scoring is a fraud: You remove derogatory data, and your credit score goes down. It's INSANE! I would really like to have both of Demendez's reports with the scores. I disabled posting here because I want to spend more time collecting evidence such as reports proving that credit scoring does not work. |
