I've been spending a lot of time at the Toshiba site, their resellers' sites for refurbs and on Ebay.
It seems that there's some really good deals on Ebay, some machines used and some new or refurbished.
The Toshiba warranties look great to me, even a "long" 36 hour turnaround seems like the speed of light after ARMcomputer having my machine weeks in the shop while I was WAITING to pick it up.
On the phone Toshiba told me that refurbs (standard warranty 3 months) qualify for a 2 year 9 months extended warranty for $219, they try for a 24 hour turnaround, and yes, they'll even send me a shipping container when I'm on the road.
It's amazing to see real nice notebooks for around $1,000 new or refurb.
If anyone has any comments on Toshiba, I'd much appreciate it. |
