    stephen wheeler (Wheels) | Saturday, July 29, 2000 - 05:42 pm  had to post another message. excellent info on mortgage brokers, very informative and you're right about the effort. it can be a lot of work and sometimes for not such good results. definitely ask for wholsesale rate sheets, and also, even if not required of broker, have the broker provide a mortgage loan disclosure statement detailing not just closing costs, but how the broker is getting paid, and by whom. also, watch for processing fees, which don't have to appear as part of broker/borrower agreement, but can reach up to $500 to $600. |
