Wells-Fargo was not my choice of bank, they bought out the small-town, out of state bank I really liked. The upside, is that I can now use WF online site to check balances and such, and I can use my ATM card almost anywhere without the out-of-state fees. . .

About 2 weeks ago, I appllied for an auto loan online, and was denied. They sent an email saying I should expect a letter in the mail explaining why. I just got the letter.

The letter says they pulled my TU report. And I should contact the address at the top of the page (eCommerce something) if I want to know why they denied my loan.

So, now I have to send out a letter requesting the information they should have sent in the first place. What a load of BS!

Anyway, I think I've seen some recommendations here to avoid Wells Fargo. Aside from this incident, I can't say I've had many problems.

Thanks, Christine, for a great site.

You're very welcome, Gary. Wells Fargo used to be the only bank that charged my mortgage clients for account verifications: $7.50 per account in the mid 90s.

I'd send them an e-mail requesting that they provide the info on your decline according to the law.
