and if you use
this link to do so, I get $40.

I think you also get another credit INQUIRY, so don't just open the account for $20, especially if you're struggling with your Scores already.

As you can read here, I'm not exactly thrilled with CompuBank, but nobody posted any other suggestions under "Looking for a new bank ..."

Well I be damned! Don't I regret having posted the above. I just went to their web site to transfer some money, and those AWFUL OBNOXIOUS ads for this promotion are EVERYWHERE.

Not only on their main page, but even after I was logged into banking I kept getting this obnoxious ADVERTISEMENT.

Why do I have to put up with ads? How can they steal my time and money like that?

I have to do my banking while ROAMING on a CELL phone this summer. It takes at LEAST a minute to load that ad on a cell phone, possibly much longer.

I can't believe that they are legally allowed to do this. I'll have to check into that. Maybe I can demand reimbursement for my expenses.

It's bad enough that I have to log onto their web site and can't bank directly from Quicken as I did for the last 10 years and as CompuBank had promised.

I highly recommend that you don't open an account with CompuBank.

I predict that their service will be awful because they'll be SWAMPED with new accounts and as you can see here, they have ALREADY been too busy to respond here and to attend to my problems with my VISA.

It's Monday afternoon and I've been trying to log on to CompuBank's site for over 1/2 hour. I keep getting everything from "page unavailable" to an error stating that my browser isn't compatible with their site, I'm using IE 5.

I've been to at least 10 other sites with no problem.

Well, it's not like I didn't expect this.
