| | Thursday, May 18, 2000 - 07:35 pm You can request copies of checks online, but you CANNOT have all your cancelled checks mailed to you. I guess I just noticed that I don't get paper statements either. Your cancelled check is your absolute BEST proof of payment. Banks are legally required to keep microfiche copies of checks for 7 years. It's a good backup if you for some reason lose your cancelled check. HOWEVER, as you can read at I nearly got arrested .... those microfiche checks are NOT proof of payment. Besides, who guarantees they're going to be around in a year or two? Guess what, nobody! I paid an extra $2 per month to Union Bank to get all my cancelled checks. You can't get that service from CompuBank. Since this posting is of course going to support@compubank.com I hope they'll let us know here what type of check we get when we order it.
