It seemed TOO good to be true.

How can they pay for shipping, the affiliate commissions, and then rebate the entire purchase price?

I spoke with Guy at CyberRebate.com. They now have about 1,000 products including several hundred "free after rebate" products, but expect
to be expanding tremendously. I guess it's the Amazon.com syndrome:

Profits don't matter, exposure is everything.

Also, I'm sure that a some buyers forget to mail the rebate forms, available on-line for printing. Once the rebates are received by CyberRebate.com, you can track the status on-line.

Most products are way overpriced, but as long as it's free after the rebate, who cares?

There's lots of stuff entirely FREE after rebate + FREE shipping!

I have to admit it, I'm a sucker for free stuff. One of my favorite stops in Fairbanks was the dump!

Should you place an order, I highly recommend you

1) Plan on doing the rebate thing right after you received the shipment (You get an E-mail once your rebate form is available on-line for printing)

2) read the instructions for the rebate submission several times and follow them exactly

3) retain copies of EVERYTHING you mailed.

I inquired about the possibility of rebates accidentally being misplaced or lost by them, and Guy assured me that they'll work with customers who have photocopies.

Suggested Improvements:

The mailing is a lot of work. The address is so long, I used a window envelope and folded the form with their address so it showed, but since it is 6 lines long I was worried about not all of the address being visible.

On TOP of the rebate form is says:

"Please read the following instructions: All fields must be filled in. Rebate submissions must each be sent individually. Do not combine more than one submission in an envelope. Please be sure to write your rebate code clearly on the envelope, below the return address. Staple together the receipt (can be a copy) , original UPC symbol, and this completed form and mail to:"

I was really hoping I could combine items for insured mailing. And they sure are picky about stapling and all.

The VERY small print it says at the bottom of the rebate form:

"Limit one rebate per item per billing household. Please make copies of all rebate materials for your records. Envelopes without rebate codes may be rejected. Submissions that are not stapled together may be rejected. Law prohibits use of fictitious name/address. You may be required to submit proof of your name and address. Rebate offers to US and Canadian addresses only. All submissions become the property of CyberRebate.com and will not be returned. We are not responsible for mail not received as a result of loss, damage or delays by the US Post Office. Please allow 10-14 weeks from the date we receive your submission to receive your rebate. Rebate submissions must be postmarked no later than 7/31/00. This form may NOT be altered or reproduced."

I have no idea what the "may be recjected" means in reality. Sure sounds picky.

I may have to provide proof of my address????

And WHY does is take so long?

I don't even understand WHY we have to go through all of this filling out forms.

So they need to have the actual UPC symbol from the box, but why can't they transfer all my info onto the rebate form?

I just hate filling out forms!

There's got to be an easier way to do this.

This is really only for people who are very good with paperwork and following instructions!
