Christine Baker (Admin) | Monday, June 19, 2000 - 12:28 am My friends have been getting their airline tickets at priceline.com for a while, I just finally got 120 minutes long distance to Germany for only $9.12. It was pretty easy, my second bid was accepted. I received the E-mail with clear instructions right away. It's too bad the minutes can only be used from the phone number you register. I'd like to see prepaid calling cards and DIESEL. |
Murty Rompalli (Murty2) | Friday, September 01, 2000 - 09:06 pm Priceline really sucked atleast for me and my freinds. A typical corp that doesnt care for consumer's credit. They make you fill out long applications and force you to apply for a credit card to increase chances of meeting your air ticket bid price. Ofcourse, you wont apply for credit card because that damages your credit history. So, they lie to you on their website that "your credit card application will not be submitted until we get you the ticket" Needless to say, thats only a lie. They submit your credit card application immediately after you click NEXT. Basically, you just damaged your credit history and also most likely didnt ticket. LIke FirstUSA, WellsFargo, FirstUNION, Priceline immediately checks your credit history for any damn thing and then informs you silently. No Wonder, priceline will change its line of business in the future as a whole saler..selling groceries and calling cards. |

They shouldn't be allowed to make false statements on their site and to obtain unauthorized credit reports. I'll personally follow up on this if your dispute doesn't result in a change on their site and removal of their inquiry. |
Christine Baker (Admin) | Friday, October 13, 2000 - 09:20 pm I just bought 10 hours of interstate minutes for $30. My $24 offer was declined. $3/hr or 5 c/min isn't bad. I hope that the quality is as good as for my calls to Germany. I like the idea of keeping my number private by going through their network, but I'm not sure if that actually works. And I guess they'll charge me for calling 800#s. Although it seems worth a few cents to keep off the telemarketers' lists. These last few years I've spent literally thousands of dollars battling SPAM and telemarketers. |
