Since NOBODY is hosting a moderated credit and credit scoring forum without those banner ads, I installed the vBulletin forum software.

I've been working on that since early July, pretty much exclusively since I moved the domain and this forum to my new web host Cedant a couple of weeks ago.

So I have NO idea when THIS forum decided to croak, I noticed yesterday that I couldn't post anymore. Today I worked on it for a couple hours, it seems to be fixed now.

About the NEW forum:

The main problem is that NUMEROUS templates have to be customized and I'm trying to get out all the references to private messages, polls, aviators, and all that other stuff I'm not interested in.

Since MANY BayHouse readers are not very computer literate and new to the net, I don't want to open the forum to the general public until that's done. There's no point in confusing people, and I'd like to have some basic VALID instructions in the new forum FAQ.

If anyone would like to help getting the bugs out and updating the FAQ, please send me an e-mail to bayhouse1@hotmail.com

I myself don't know yet how a lot of the features work, and vBulletin doesn't provide much documentation other than THEIR forum. I've spent so much time there looking through many thousands of postings for answers, I once again realized how important FAQs and manuals are. A forum is great, but there are limitations!

If I don't have any other "emergencies," I should have most of the templates done within a couple of days, and then I can start working on the bugs and the forum FAQ. That's where I could really use some help.

Thanks,

Christine
