If a tax lien was entered in 1993 and marked paid in 1996 shouldnt it be removed from your credit file? Two of the three have removed it, but one still has kept it on their files. They state that the seven years dont start until you pay off the tax lien, which would mean that after I paid it in 1996, then I have until 2003 until it comes off? Trans Union is the only that hasnt taken it off, seeing that their rules start fromthe date of pay off. I submitted paper work showing that it was filed in error by the state, but not such luck. Any suggestions. |
