The subject of this heading is "Problems? Comments On The Forum?":

Topic, thread, conversation, subject, focus, gist,... On a forum such as this, these words mean essentially the same thing.

What I want to say is on a different topic from the other threads posted under this main subject heading. This is why I am starting a new conversation, rather than jumping into an existing conversation and trying to change the subject. The Sub-Heading to which my comments are directed is the category of discussion labeled Credit:

Why is it so difficult for some of the people who post here to understand the meaning of the button labeled "Start A New Conversation"?

Why is it that when someone requests help and advice about how many additional charges a collection agency can impose, the conversation degenerates into a diatribe about vocabulary and grammar? If you want to discuss vocabulary and grammar, START A NEW CONVERSATION! [Or better yet, start your own vocabulary and grammar forum, if that's what's most important to to you].

Conversely, why is it that when a "big picture" topic is under discussion, someone jumps in asking for help with a personal problem that is completely off topic, which kills the thread? If you have a personal problem and need advice, please don't just jump in anywhere. Look through the list of topics. If you don't find the appropriate topic, then START A NEW CONVERSATION!

Additionally, why is it that a certain two people who post regularly on this forum feel justified to kill any and every thread by digressing to their hearts content, simply because they believe that their egos are more important than the issues under discussion? Why can't they just "take it outside" and duke it out like real men?-- Or START A NEW CONVERSATION!

Pale Rider:

The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain.

How many topics do you see there?

I see Rain, Precipitation, Weather, Spain, Weather in Spain, Weather in Western Europe, Weather in Europe, Gravity, Geography, Topography.

Half (one) of your posts is complaining about procedure of the forum. You haven't answered my question concerning the percentage of credit reports that are wrong.

Whoopsie, I'm off the topic again (I think). Should I start a new thread, or is this the right place? You tell me, because I don't know how you want me to do it and I don't want to have my messages blasted and moved for my not following procedure. I'm serious; please show us how. As a participant, I want to please the lurkers.

Or maybe I should become a lurker, too. Wouldn't that be exciting for both of us?
