I have a ch7 bk and am applying to Datek to only buy stocks. Does anybody think they will deny me because of my bk or credit history? I would think not, but hey, everybody seems to be doing it now. |

Both E-Trade and Datek approved me with my ch7...
I ended up not using the Datek account because they don't trade OTC stocks. |

Typically online brokerages don't run your credit unless you want to buy on margin. This is true with e*trade, td waterhouse, dlj direct for certain, as I have used them. You deposit money and they make you wait a long time for the money to clear if it is not cash or some certified form of funds so credit is not really an issue. |

According to Datek's website, they do allow the trading of OTCBB stocks. THis is one reason I picked them. I guess they have no minimums which means if I want to buy 100 dollars worth of some stock as long as they get their fee, it's okay. Almost everybody wants a minimum of at least 500-1000. Anyway, thanks for the info everybody. |
