Gary | Tuesday, December 28, 1999 - 09:49 am I've read alot of posts here pertaining to the "Risk Scores" on credit reports. Has anyone ever pursued the Freedom of Information Act,(FOIA) and ask anyone in particular how these scores are determined? Oh, and Yes, as a matter of fact I have. Don't start drooling, I haven't got an answer yet, but I was curious as to whether anyone else had done this? |
Sean | Tuesday, December 28, 1999 - 10:06 am No, I hadn't bothered with a Freedom of Information Act, but I suppose you could hit up the OCC for any information disclosed to them by Fair Isaac regarding how scores were created. It would probably be denied, but best of luck to you. |
Anonymous | Monday, January 03, 2000 - 11:11 am I thought the FOIA only applied to Government, not the private sector? |
Sean | Monday, January 03, 2000 - 02:47 pm It does only apply to the government. I would suppose that you could try requesting from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency ("OCC") any and all information tendered to them from Fair Isaac regarding risk scores and see what happens. That is what I had meant to refer to above. |
