I want to purchase a home in about a year so I am beginning the credit repair process.(your site is a BIG help). Will having Consumer Initiated Inquries removed from my reports boost my Beacon/Fair Issac score? How many points is an inquiry worth? Is it worth it to dispute inquiries?

To answer your questions:

1. Yes, having less inquiries usually improves a score.
2. No one is exactly sure how many points each inquiry is worth.
3. It is normally not worth disputing inquiries.
4. Inquiries count negatively against your score only if they are in the past 12 months, so if you're planning on buying a house a year from now you don't need to worry about past inquiries, just your future ones.
