| | Friday, January 07, 2000 - 04:08 am ADDING UNREPORTED LOAN?? Is it true that the credit bureau will add my personal loan positive credit if I just tell them about it? I heard that I can phone or mail the credit bureau evidence of a personal loan to my credit file. (in my case from a small car dealership that did it's own financing). The dealer has written me a letter stating that it sold me the car on credit (50% down, 5,000$ financed over 2 years, all payments on time) and I heard I could mail this to equifax or transunion along with a personal letter and get them to add this to my file to develop some history. thanks for your help! sterlingdesmond@usa.net

And even if a credit has signed up with the CRAs, they still don't have to report if they don't want to. It's all voluntary.
