| | Friday, January 07, 2000 - 04:13 am Student Visa Is Easiest? Why can a student get a student visa with no job, but I can't get a card with 6 years employment? I have no credit history, but have been working at the same place for 6 years with a high income and I'm 25 years old. My friend got a 'student visa' with limit of $1000 and has no job and is only 21. Why? thanks for your help! sterlingdesmond@usa.net

| | Friday, January 07, 2000 - 10:07 am Because as Sean has pointed out in some many previous threads, it's all about the numbers. Consistently statistically college students pay back unsecured debt. The reasons for that are unimportant really to the credit issuers. It's about you as a member of a group and not as an individual. I know plenty of college students who are/were financial wack jobs and high school drop-outs who never miss a bill. Unfortunately, you and they are all being judged as part of a "group" and not as the individuals you are.
