Even though I haven't done any business in a year, I still have to dispute charges and hassle with ISPs and cell phone providers and banks and HMOs etc.

I've been letting a lot go this year, but I don't want to continue paying money I don't owe. I'd rather pay someone else $50 or $100 and possibly more to send out dispute letters for me. That way I save myself a lot of aggravation, I have a credible witness and maybe I'll just have to go file a bunch of Small Claims actions once a year to recover the damages.

Last year I nearly got arrested when I went to a Collection place in person after phone/fax communications got me nowhere. They refused to put in writing that the microfiche "original" check from Home Savings of America was not readable enough to be proof of payment. I could clearly read the date it was deposited into the Pacific Bell account at Bank of America!

The only reason why I controlled myself and I avoided having the cops arrest me, was that my dog was in the car, parked in the sun. Those bastards at the San Jose PD took the side of the collection agency! If I had to deal with crap like that more often, I'd probably start reading the "how to make bombs" sites.

Last week I had some correspondence with a lawyer who tells me that there's just no money in FCRA litigation.

There used to be a company called Bitches for Hire, but I couldn't find em anymore. Any leads are appreciated.

Thanks, Christine

This is a pretty good site, but it's geared towards legal advice when arrested, sued, etc.

I'd like to hire someone to actually do the WORK for me. I'll fax them the disputed bill and my initial dispute, and E-mail my complaint and instructions. I want them to write the letters, stand in line at the post-office to mail certified, to receive and relay the response to me, to provide me with an affidavit of what exactly was done, to possibly even shop for a lawyer if the situation can't be resolved in Small Claims.

Why is it so easy to find somebody to scrub my toilet, but there's nobody to do THIS?

For many years I did disputes and cranked out the letters for my clients, I found it very interesting and I learned a lot. I enjoyed it and I got paid for it.

Small Claims considers MY time to be worthless. I disagree with that strongly, so I wish to pay someone instead of wasting my time.

I don't believe Small Claims would award my lawyer fees to write dispute letters, and it really doesn't make much sense to me to spend hundreds of dollars on a letter.

I HAVE LOTS OF DISCREPANCIES ON MY CREDIT REPORT.
ONE- I HAD ASKED GTE TO TURN MY PHONE OFF BECAUSE IT HAD BEEN STOLEN BUT THEY DID NOT AND THEY GAVE ME THE BILL FOR 500 DOLLARS. I, IN PERSON, HAD WENT TO THE NEAREST STORE AND TOLD THEM TO TURN IT OFF, YET I WAS IN SUCH A HURRY BACK ON 2/97 THAT THEY FORGOT TO GIVE ME ANY KIND OF PAPERWORK TO PROVE IT. PLUS I HAVE BEEN PAYING FOR A CAR THROUGH A HIGH RISK CAR DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE NOT REPORTED TO THE BUREAUS THAT I HAVE PAID TIMELY AND FULLY EVERY MONTH FOR ALMOST A WHOLE YEAR, WHAT AM I TO DO ABOUT ALL THIS NONSENSE.
PLEASE RESPOND AND I WILL GIVE FURTHER DETAILS.
