Equifax agrees to pay $300,000 in response to an investigation by the Vermont Attorney General. The complaint alleges that Equifax violated the state's FCRA.

Thank you very much for the information, I'll use it. This brings up another question, how many other consent agreements and fines, has Equifax been involved in? I know about the one in 1995 with the FTC.

There was another FTC Consent agreement this month against Equifax, Trans Union, and Experian.
