Well, I expect the site will experience some heat almost immediately. So I struck while the iron was hot. My FICO score is 701.

There can be little question that E-Loan is breaking the law because they do not have a permissible purpose to run a credit report on me. The closest thing they have to a permissible purpose is 602(a) "In accordance with the written instructions of the consumer..." (emphasis added).

The Federal Trade Commission has taken the position that a simple mouse click is not in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer.

Then how is it possible for the credit bureaus to release "on line" reports? Why do they believe they are the only ones in the credit reporting industry allowed to make their own rules, "black list" and shut other people down? Sounds like a monopoly to me. Like someone posted previously said, at the least, with Microsoft you get something for your dollar AND we don't have to do their work for them.

Will E-loan end up like me?

This is going to be interesting.

Well, I posted about that in the old forum, Experian had my credit report account with Financial Datalink shut off and assured me I'd never get their reports again.

So "I ended up" going camping. Can't do much real estate or mortgage biz without access to credit reports.

And on that note, I'm heading for the desert for a week or so ...

Sean-

Isn't 701 a good score?

Well 701 is ok, I guess... I am striving for better.
