When I got my mortgage in DEC 98, the lender used the middle FICO score. But I've been seeing references to some lenders using a specific CRA, which is keyed on zip codes.

I plan to refinance next JAN, and currently Equifax is my lowest score, and it seems that it is the one that is keyed to my zip code (94XXX).

Does anyone know if this zip code key arrangement is common? Did I just "luck out" on my previous loan? Is the mid-score method giving way to the zip code key method?

Most lenders will pull what they call a Facutal Data report if they do this the lender will used the middle score.

Allways ask your mortgage broker what kind of report do he pull.
He will say
Facutal Data or
Tri merge report
Remember they are not the same report.
I hope i have help.
