| | Monday, March 20, 2000 - 04:55 pm Uhm ... I don't get it. I checked it out, but I'm not sure why I would care?

| | Monday, March 20, 2000 - 05:44 pm I thought you would care because the poster who calls himself "MBA" has filed a lawsuit against a creditor for filing illegal and false reports with TransUnion. The specific allegation, as I read it: That a collection agency bought a 7-year-old debt that had dropped off the report, re-aged it as new and then illegally re-reported it to TU. TU, of course, just regurgitated it. This must have been a real blow to "MBA's" credit score. "MBA" even posts some of the legal papers in the case. Thought this might lead to some spirited discussion, especially between you and Greg. My feeling is that this sort of thing goes on all the time between creditors and the bureaus to which they subscribe, owing to a paucity of checks and balances. That's why I thought you'd be interested. "MBA" might have a winner.
