I've seen the deal CardReport offers, and I'm NOT impressed. Is there a service out there that will pull all three reports and dispute things for you? THAT would be worth paying for. I'm sick of trying to do this in my spare time, it's really a full time job. I just want to get my you-know-what back together - I'm four years out from a BK, it drops (kinda) in like 2 years. I'd like to be in a position to get an unsecured card by then.

I think it would benefit you to read some of our material. The resources are free.

How much does it cost me to get a credit report on all three CRA's? Basically, how would it work? Is there a form, should I call, etc. How does the $49.00 thing work (the credit analysis)?

Anonymous, you can write to the credit bureau and get the report for around 8.50 a piece. Read all the information you can get on this website. Use the keyword search for specific topics. You can do all the work yourself if you have the patience and the time. Do not submit any documentation to the credit bureau...make them verify it and do their job. If they can't verify, they must remove. use your own paper to write to them and address the issues. don't use their forms. don't write canned letters. threaten action if they don't get it right after too many times being told what's wrong. If you have been denied credit, your report is free if you ask for it within sixty days I think. You can also write to them to verify an existing account that you know about and you may get a copy for free that way. good luck. keep posting. there are a lot of very savvy credit people here. You will learn a lot if you can teach yourself what's here.

Sen, I just don't have the time. I'm working a full time job, I'm starting a business with my fiancee, and I'm getting married next week. This is why I just want to hire someone to do it like what Kristi Feathers is suggesting above. I do appriciate your advice, and have told people to do the same, actually - I just don't have any more sleep I can give up to devote to things like this during the day. Actually, I'm not getting enough sleep now as it is. :-(

Anonymous have you researched WWW.Junum.com?

I asked if anyone knew anything about them.

I received no answer, So I joined. They ordered my credit reports and told me to send them to them in the envelope they sent me. However I was appoved for a mortage and have moved so I haven't sent them the reports. I montitor my account online & it is sitting idle until they receive the reports.
Soon as I unpack I'll get back to it. I'll just order the reports myself and send them to Junum.

Go to the site and see what you think.

From the Steven and Michelle Snyder Symposium, they offer a 60/month, cancellable at anytime, relationship with a law firm to clean up the credit report. If you don't have the time but have the cash, go for it. I have the paperwork in my car if anyone is interested, I will post it tomorrow. Steve had pretty good results.

Our program works like this:
We assess your credit reports and tell you exactly what is wrong and how to correct it either through disputations or debt negotiations. You then decide if you want to take on the task yourself or retain us. If you retain us, the service is sourced to our associate law firm who, for 35.00 a month will work on your credit and also do the debt negotiations for a fee of what is settled. Our negotiation partner says he is very close to the owner of junum.com but he too knew little of their success. If you have sucess with them, let us know as we like to have alternate plans to refer visitors to.
