I have been reviewing my credit reports and have found that the Experian and Equifax reports do not match. The 'charge offs' on the Equifax fell off this month, but the Experian shows that I have months on one account and almost a year on another. So this means that some of these accounts will be on my credit reports for 7+ or 8 years! Will Experian remove the accounts if I send them a copy of the Equifax report showing the account was really written off prior to the dates they have showing on their reports?

Also, how many months/years of balance history can they report? (late 30 days 5-95...ect..)

Sending the Equifax report to Experian won't work. Just dispute those items with Experian, advise them that the date of the delinquency was over 7 years ago.

They'll have to contact the creditor and unless the creditor confirms an INCORRECT date they'll remove it.

Late payments can be reported up to 7 years. The older the item, the better your chances of it not being confirmed when disputed. Especially some department stores often agree to remove a late when you call them and ask nicely. Make them cry!

It can't hurt to try them all.
