| | Wednesday, June 21, 2000 - 10:58 pm ConsumerInfo.com has been mentioned at BayHouse several times, and so far I haven't seen any complaints. Apparently the FREE Equifax report will NOT result in an inquiry lowering your Credit Scores. However, the tri-merged report apparently will ding you with an inquiry on each report. Please post your feedback/questions here. I'm especially interested in any changes to the reporting of inquiries.

| | Thursday, June 22, 2000 - 02:04 am As I just looked at ConsumerInfo.com and I couldn't find HOW to cancel the free 30-day trial membership in the CreditCheck Monitoring Service. Any pointers?

| | Thursday, June 22, 2000 - 04:16 am If you want to cancel you need to call them. I think their number's (800) 888-8553. They'll ask why you're cancelling and give you a standard customer-retention attempt. It might be (888) 888-8553. I'm not sure.

This program and Privacyguard seem to be real popular. I have a client who says he has used one of these services for along time and he looks forward to getting his bi-annual reports. Said it gives him peace of mind and he feels in control. | | Thursday, June 22, 2000 - 01:19 pm Great, thanks. Of course I got MORE questions: From the postings here it appears that they used to provide the Experian reports, and then switched to Equifax. On the site it says that you'll get a report from "one of the three national credit bureaus." Does anyone know if they rotate bureaus periodically or WHY they switched to Equifax?
