Shylock (Shylock) | Monday, August 28, 2000 - 06:09 pm Well, I've had a NextCard for 6 months now. So I called 'em up and asked how often they review my account for credit limit increases. Well, they don't automatically do that. You have to request it. So I did. Today I got a letter in the mail saying "Your request was not approved for the following reason(s): * Credit history or obligations with others." Well, what ABOUT my credit history or obligation with others? Too big? Too small? Too recent? What? This is crap... |

Shylock (Shylock) | Saturday, September 16, 2000 - 06:56 pm I ordered my credit report from Experian and there is nothing on it that's negative EXCEPT that one of the accounts is marked "UNRATED" and "Disputed under the Fair Credit Billing Act." The underwriter I spoke to said that might be the problem. So I contacted the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to request an investigation of possible violations of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. I also wrote a pretty nasty review of NextCard on Epinions.com |
