| | Wednesday, September 06, 2000 - 06:52 am Guys I got my Eexperian report. And I have 5 deletions. My first thought was maybe the creditors don't subcribe to Experian and thats why the deletions. However 6 months ago I had a Finance CO that I could not get deleted from Experian ( All others got deleted CSC, Trans) But on this report it got removed. Along with 2 USA funds entries ( See my post on student loans). Accounts deleted USA Funds USA Funds JB Nutter Lease Finance Discover What I'm most pleased about is the Lease Finance Acct: I don't know if you guys remember but this company kept verify the info with Experian and I thought Experian was just lying. | | Saturday, September 16, 2000 - 11:38 am Much appreciate the update. I had actually sent E-mail to Junum.com at the time to get more info, but they never responded. How much did it cost you?

| | Monday, September 18, 2000 - 10:30 am Cost: 33.95 monthly for My wife and myself. 8.00 for each item removed when it's removed. Do anyone know where I can get my credit score? I'm curious to see if it's improving

| | Tuesday, September 19, 2000 - 01:31 pm I have used the free credit analyzer, which many responders have alleged that it is generally within 10 points of their actual credit scores. The free credit analyzer can be seen at www.freecreditanalyzer.com. Also, there has been much conversation about a new site that gives you one of your credit reports for free (it's listed on your Trans Union report as a promotional inquiry) and it gives you a score that is unlike the FICO, but gives recommendations about improving your score. You may find it at worthknowing.com. Hope that helps, TommyC

| | Tuesday, September 19, 2000 - 10:45 pm Quick question: "... is generally within 10 points of their actual credit scores." Is that the "actual" credit score on the 30th, the 31st, or the 1st? http://www.bayhouse.com/FICOisFRAUD.html

| | Wednesday, September 20, 2000 - 06:12 am It gave me a 702 that can't be right. Steve1040

| | Wednesday, September 20, 2000 - 09:01 am It doesn't ask if you have any collections or charge-offs which are supposed to play a big role in the FICO score. It does ask about your income and employment which are not supposed to be factored into the FICO score at all. I don't think it can be that accurate if it doesn't even use the same variables. They should post the formula they use to estimate the FICO. Estimating a secret formula with another secret formula is just annoying.

| | Wednesday, September 20, 2000 - 02:45 pm From what I have read on other discussion boards regarding the freecreditanalyzer, "the within 10 points of the respondents actual score," seemed to me, to be valid, because of more than a few people who knew their fico scores (given to them by the mortgage broker)and stated that the freecreditanalzer, came very close ("about 10 pts) to their actual score. I never knew my actual fico score and tried it and it came back with a score of 640. I'm just beginning to sort out my credit responsibilities, so I'll keep everyone posted. Best wishes, TommyC

| | Wednesday, September 20, 2000 - 02:50 pm Good question Christine. None of the respondents who revealed their actual credit scores, indicating to the discussion group, what day (the 30th, 31st or 1st), their fico scores were deduced from and nobody thought enough to ask. I guess, I, like so many who read the posting, were too eagered to see our credit scores, or something approximating our credit scores. TommyC

| | Wednesday, September 20, 2000 - 05:32 pm Why does Steve think the 702 can't be right? And just to clarify, income and employment are not part of the FICO Scores, however, charge-offs and collections are a BIG part of the Scores. At fairisaac.com you'll find specifics on the type of information utilized. While there's no way that Fair Isaac will release the formula, I'd sure like to see how the credit analyzer calculates.
