If I apply for health insurance, are they going to run my credit? I have a bk7 on record and hope this isn't so. Are they? Can they? Or do they base it on a person's health history?

Please advise...

Most people get health insurance through their jobs and I've never heard of a credit check for health insurance.

They DO get your medical records, and some are very picky about pre-existing conditions. The fact that insurance companies can and will use anything against you, is reason enough for me to only see a doctor when I absolutely have to.

Unlike credit reporting, medical reporting is apparently NOT regulated and you do NOT have the right to see your medical records or the reports issued about you.
