I get a letter the other day (Ch7 was discharged in Aug) and there is a letter from a company called Credicorp. They are offering a "Gold" card (no bank affiliation is mentioned which made me go, hmmmm) with a 10K limit. All I have to do is send them 29.95 to expedite my "Gold Card". Well, I go to the BBB's website and find TWO warnings against this companies business practices. What they do is scour Trans Union for people like me with bad credit or BK and offer them this obviously deceitful thing where they sell overpriced closeout merchandise via a catalog.

I read between the lines, but I am sure others wouldn't. I did the homework, and will not get suckered. What bothers me is the nature of the letter and the fact that Trans Union is allowing these vultures to market their overpriced catalog service to me. That is wrong. Something should be done about this.

I have gotten the same letter and have reported them to the BBB, since they took 200 dollars from me and I never received a Gold Card nor any catalog. They told the BBB The money would be refunded but it's been 2 months now and nothing has happened.

report this to the attorney general in your state and the state where the company who cheated you is doing business. if you had any correspondence by mail, you can alert the postal authorities as well. people doing this are thieves, nothing more and nothing less. reporting it to the BBB is like taking a bank robber to small claims court-- here today, gone tonight.
sorry you got scammed, sarah-- if it sounds too good to be true, it's a ripoff. leeches suck your blood when you're stuck in the mud, never at the helm of a yacht, right? the giant shark approach went out a generation ago-- today it's specialty saliva with anesthetic, anticoagulant properties; get in and out before you're noticed and get away with all you can. so sad to know that such things walk on two legs and know how to use US mail and the internet--:(. sadfaces supreme-:(.
