Christine Baker (Admin) | Monday, May 07, 2001 - 11:55 am Ms. Reagen called back: On 4/3 the inquiry was e-mailed to Qwest. On 4/11: Qwest responded that they have to research the matter. At that point the Arizona Corporation Commission assumes that Qwest will contact the consumer and does nothing, although Ms. Reagen said she would have contacted me "eventually, it's only been a month." Apparently the purpose of this government agency is to resolve disputes with corporate and discourage litigation. Once legal action is taken, they no longer get involved. At the end of the year fines are assessed based on the type/number of complaints. I requested the number of complaints as well as fines assessed against Qwest (US West) in the last 5 years. Ms. Reagen will get back to me with the info on how to get that data. Also, when I filed my complaint on 4/3 I had asked about filing a complaint against VoiceStream Wireless, but she refused to accept the complaint and referred me to the FCC. -- Been there, done that with Verizon (fka GTE) ... waste of time. |
