I just received the third "updated credit report" from Experian. However, the information I disputed for the third time remains. Specifically, several accounts included in a CH7 Bankruptcy are listed as "chapter 7 bankruptcy discharged" but also state "account charged off." Also, some include 120, 90 or 60 days past due along with bankruptcy discharge. When I contacted the bureau, they informed me that no information is supposed to be reported subsequent to the bankruptcy discharge date, yet the report still contains the above past due statuses even 2 years after the bankruptcy was dicharged. In addition, they informed me that they would not remove the charge-offs even though the accounts were discharged through bankruptcy since the information is accurate since the charge offs are only an accounting procedure followed by the creditors when accounts are placed in bankruptcy. Also, most of the charge offs are dated within 30 days of the creditors receiving notice of my filing bankruptcy and previous to the bankruptcy discharge. However, a few charge offs are dated after the date of my bankruptcy dicharge. The few final items of concern are the report lists a notice stating that my former home address, which was also included in the bankruptcy, is a non-residental address and also lists two different social security numbers for me (which clearly appear to be the result of a typo) as only the first two numbers are transposed. The report also lists my address about 7 different ways, which I assume is the result of typos, hearing problems or just plain carelessness. My street name is streamview Drive and Experian has reports my address with the correct street numbers and some of the following street names: Stringview, Dreamview, Steamview and Streamview without the appropriate Drive attached. What can I do about all of this? How can creditors report past due dates and statuses, delinquencies, charge-offs and discharged through bankruptcy all at the same time? Will creditors think I still owe money to these people since these accounts are listed as charge-offs or will they have to be intelligent enough to realize that the charge offs are no more than an accounting purpose as a result of the bankruptcy?

As long as the comment next to the item is: "Included in BK" then that shows that the debts were included. I know it is frustrating but they can leave it as Inc In Bk and still leave the history. The important thing is that they do reflect the Bankruptcy data next to each account. As for the all the alias's. Have you disputed all of those? If you do not agree with them and they are wrong challenge until Experian gets it right. They can be dense at times.
Good Luck!

Aren't Scores based on the amount ofoutstanding debt and payments? Why would "included in bk" be sufficient?

Does the Scoring software automatically ignore all reported data?

I thought the debts are DISCHARGED, ie. eliminated in bankruptcy and should be reported as such.
