Mike Male | Monday, January 31, 2000 - 12:55 pm I have recently found errors in my credit report and also my son's report (he's 21). My son and I share the same name, he is the "II". Our credit reports are showing wrong info. Some of my stuff is on his and some of his is on mine. How can we get this corected and "will it cost me a bundle" to get it done correctly? Thanks, Mike |

Don’t pay anyone to do it until you have exhausted all efforts and can't get anywhere, then and only then consider a reputable firm (not fly by night credit repair), you'll be sorry if you do. Just write to each bureau and provide them with the information on Sr, Jr. or II. This is soooooo common. Should be easy to eradicate. You can visit us for some free info on the process. Good Luck to you. Kristi Feathers CarreonandAssociates.com |
Senator | Saturday, February 05, 2000 - 10:18 am Here's another twist to errors in the credit report. I was discharged from Chapter 7 in August and thanks to this board discovered that I needed to check the cra reports--especially after I had reaffirmed a department store and made the payments on time but then got my credit rejected by them once I had paid it all off. I discovered on TRW(which the dept store had used) that my debts that I had discharged in bankruptcy show large outstanding balances and R1--should I correct them and have them go to R9 or read account discharged in bankruptcy? Does it matter? |
