Does anyone know if it is possible to prevent TransUnion, Experian or Equifiax from giving my credit header information (name-address-social security #) without my permission. If the information is given, does it show up as a traceable inquiry?

Any info would be appreciated.

Yes it is called "OPT" out your must contact each agency and tell them to remove you from that list.
